As a Southern Baptist Church, we uphold and attain the "Baptist Faith & Message." As a whole, this is a doctrinal statement that we believe. If you want to read more of this statement, click here. 

Very simply, we have integrated these four beliefs into every part of our church. We believe that a covenant member of Eastside will value these beliefs personally. We as a church strive to incorporate these values into every decision that we make in regards to this church. 

1. We believe In Jesus.

We believe that in a world that daily strives to be good enough to reach the heavens, God the Creator came down to earth to be with His creation and save us. We believe that Jesus was crushed for our sins. Now, Jesus is reigning in Heaven presently, and still has the power to personally touch lives and save souls. This foundational truth is the cornerstone to every other part of us. 

If God is calling you to walk with us, then firstly, He is calling you to walk in a relationship with Himself. 

2. We believe in the
​    Word.

Scripture is the sole source of the Word of the Lord, and we want to treat it with the authority it's been given. We as a community of believers hold Scripture for what it says, and base our teachings off of Scripture. We do this for three reasons:
  • Salvation for unbelievers
  • Sanctification for believers
  • Edification of the Church, Christ's Bride

We simply believe that when "The Gospel is preached, it will not turn back empty-handed" (Isaiah 55:11). 

3. We believe in
    Discipleship.

In our spiritual life, Jesus doesn't ask us to give Him our hearts, and then He leaves us alone. On the contrary, we believe that the moment we ask Jesus into our lives, we begin an eternity-long relationship filled with growth, worship, and praise to Jesus. 

Just as Jesus called his disciples to cast there nets out farther when fishing, we believe Jesus is constantly calling us to go further in our relationship with Him.

4. We believe in Disciple
     Making.

Jesus commanded us to do two things, above all else:
  • Love God
  • Love other people
After you begin to fall in love with God, you'll naturally begin wanting to start to love other people. We are convinced the best way to love someone is to introduce them to Jesus, the one whom our souls were made for.
